Colloid Mill

A split type colloid mill is a machine that rotates at high speed relative to matching fixed teeth through an electric motor. The processed material generates a downward spiral impact force through its own weight or external pressure. When passing through the gap between the fixed and rotating teeth of the colloid mill (the gap size is adjustable), it is subjected to strong shear, friction, and high-frequency vibration, effectively emulsifying, dispersing, and crushing to achieve ultrafine particle effect.

Working principle

The material is subjected to shear, friction, and high-frequency vibration through the high-speed relative linkage between the fixed teeth and the moving teeth. Grinding relies on the relative motion of the toothed inclined surface of the grinding disc, where one rotates at high speed and the other remains stationary, causing the material to undergo shear and friction under certain pressure. At the same time, it is effectively crushed, emulsified, and homogenized under the action of high-frequency vibration and high-speed vortex, thereby obtaining satisfactory products.
