Plant-based drinks such as oat milk, almond milk, soy beverages and coconut drinks are growing fast in 2026. More consumers want dairy-free, sustainable options with good nutrition. If you are planning to set up or expand production, a proper plant-based beverage line makes a big difference. Intop Machinery builds complete lines that handle different raw materials and deliver stable, tasty products with long shelf life.
Main Differences from Traditional Dairy Lines
Plant materials like nuts, grains and seeds need special handling. You must extract as much as possible, remove unwanted fibers, control flavors and keep the drink from separating. A good line solves these issues while supporting both refrigerated and room-temperature products.
Production Steps
Raw Material Preparation Ingredients arrive, get inspected and cleaned. Soaking softens oats, almonds or soybeans. This step helps later extraction and reduces beany or bitter tastes.
Grinding and Extraction Wet grinding turns the material into slurry. Hot water and enzymes break down cells to release proteins and fats. Good extraction equipment directly affects your yield and cost.
Separation Centrifuges or filters remove solids. You can adjust how much pulp stays in for cloudy drinks or go clearer for smooth ones. This stage is important for texture and stability.
Mixing and Homogenization Add sugar, stabilizers, vitamins or flavors in blending tanks. High-pressure homogenization makes the fat particles tiny so the drink stays uniform and doesn’t separate on the shelf.
Sterilization For short shelf life: HTST pasteurization at around 72–95°C. For ambient storage: UHT treatment at 135–150°C for a few seconds. UHT is popular for export because the sealed product lasts 6–12 months without refrigeration.
Filling and Packaging Aseptic filling for UHT products or hot filling for others. Cartons, PET bottles or pouches work well. Automatic packaging lines finish the job efficiently.
Cleaning and Quality Control CIP system cleans the whole line automatically between batches. Sensors and lab tests keep quality consistent.
What Intop Provides
